Stephen Spiker

Vice-President of Research & External Affairs

Stephen Spiker is the Vice-President of Research & External Affairs for the Developers Alliance. In this role, Spiker oversees the development, strategic application, and day-to-day operations of research products and member inquiries, as well as membership and community relations. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Developers Trust Alliance, a new initiative that promotes data privacy and security.

Before joining the Alliance, Spiker spent five years conducting public affairs research in Washington D.C., including for Mercury Public Affairs and KRC Research. He began his career working in politics, working on state and local campaigns in Virginia, working at two top political polling firms for the 2006 and 2008 election cycles, and serving as chief of staff for a Virginia state legislator in Richmond.

Spiker earned a bachelor's degree in Government & International Politics from George Mason University, and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Survey Research from the University of Connecticut. He lives with his wife and two sons in Woodbridge, Virginia.
